In London last week I spoke at three of Gartner’s Evanta Executive Summits.
Many executives asked me the same question.
“Val how can I go from knowing what I need to do, to actually doing it.”
We know we need to spend more time on our 2 year out zone but we get dragged into issues in the 30 day zone.
We know we need to say no more than yes, but we agree to more than we should.
We know we need to tackle the mismatched employee but we delay it.
We know we need to have the tough conversation but avoid it.
Research shows that if you haven’t done something you want to do in 30 days you need to get help to do it.
* First you need to know why you don’t
* Then you need to know what is stopping you
* Finally you need to acquire the skills, capability, or accountability to do it.
What’s getting in your way?
Dedicated to growing your business,
Val
